Daily Freelance Writing Job Checklist

UPDATED - May 14,2007

Now you can get to your favorite freelance writing jobs even faster. Don't forget to bookmark and use this resource when you're looking for job leads.

Each link opens up a new window. Search the page, collect the information you want and then close the window. You can go down the list anytime. I've linked directly to where the jobs are so you don't have to click on a ton of links just to get to the jobs.

I've moved the blogging jobs! They are on a separate page. Check out the blogging jobs section.

Please bookmark so you can return and check daily.

These are websites that are free, and where employers go to actually post their job leads.

The Craig's

This is a list of the writing listings at Craig's List. Two for each city. Recommended checking from the top five listed here. (Dig around more through Craig's List for additional cities.)

The second (2) link may contain low or non payers.

San Fran - 1 . 2

Los Angeles - 1 . 2

New York - 1 . 2

Chicago - 1 . 2

Boston - 1 . 2

Search all of Craig's List at once for freelance writing jobs, writer, editor, proofreader and general telecommute.

MySpace

Like Craig's List, MySpace has a classified ads site that is separated into individual categories  by city.

These are the writing gigs for major cities:

Los Angeles

New York

Chicago

Boston

Do not forget to check other cities, including your local major city.

PR Jobs - This place didn't have any jobs when I visited, but keep an eye on it.

Concept Art - Occasionally has comic and graphic novel writer jobs.

Check out more great job boards at the Writer's Gazette!

*NEW* Go down the list at Freelance Writing Jobs too! Some bidding sites and newsletters there.

Relisters

Yes, posting this at the bottom, but don't miss out on these resources. I call them relisters, because they borrow links from other websites and repost them on blogs or web pages. If you don't have time to go through the list above, use these resources. You should check them out anyway, because they will often catch leads you might have missed in your searching.

Writer's Row - A collection of updated links from all over the web. They are kind enough to list some info along with the link too.

Morning Coffee - This one is updated once a week, but with good leads.

PoeWar Jobs - More leads, collected from the web.

And if you are wondering... the answer is yes. I do use this list all the time while searching for leads. The entire list. It takes me about twenty to forty minutes a day to go through all of the websites, look for updated leads. I keep trying to make it easier and better. Have ideas? Send your thoughts to me using the contact form on the Contact Me page.
