Disclosure

By the way…

Those crazy FTC folks think people like me should disclose if I’m paid for any of my posts or not.

Here’s how things work around here:

I am the only one who writes anything over here. My name is Calissa. (Like in the name of the site, OK?) It’s a personal blog that has all sorts of crazy things on it.

This blog is all about my opinion. It’s why it’s a blog and not a forum. Comments are always left open for those who don’t spam, but otherwise you can say what you want. What you say belongs to you, but gets published on this blog. I don’t keep any of your information if you share it here. I may or may not respond to a comment.

If I get an offer from PayPerPost or another site, it’s always labeled with the “Paid Advertisement” tag. I may add a “Sponsored” tag later.

Paid Advertisements are links or ads that get put into posts, and these posts are directly paid by the link posted in the post.

A Sponsor may have given me a freebie or sample to try out and asked me to post on my blog about it.

I occasionally get free things or coupons in my emails, and I’m happy to share those, but those that are Sponsored or Paid Advertisements are disclosed no matter what.

I try to be choosy about the advertisements I post. I won’t post anything illegal.

The few dollars I make with this blog goes to me, and the cost of running this site usually is more than what I earn. In some cases, like the Sponsors, I don’t get paid. I get a freebie. I’ll review it here. The freebie doesn’t influence what I have to say about it. I get freebies all the time. I don’t mind telling a company what I don’t like about something.

I don’t review paid advertisements. I just advertise those. I don’t review things I haven’t tried.

Sometimes I review stuff without being sponsored. These aren’t marked with “Sponsor” or anything else. I just liked or disliked something so I talked about it.

On occasion, when I’m offered by a Sponsor to give something away, I’ll give it away to random people who read my blog or post. Feel free to participate or not.

And if you owned a blog like mind, you’d accept a little bit of money for a link or two here and there, too. Don’t lie. You know you wanna…
