Editing Bites

I’ve got an article I’m working on and wanting to submit to a magazine. The magazine has a limit of 500 words.
So what was my count? 690.
After a half hour of editing, I’ve taken out and added what I thought was additional information that would make things clearer.
What is it at now? 630.
Argh! *Cries*
I need to kill 100 words. That’s what sucks about writing sometimes. You write some beautiful article, and you have to chop it into bits so it’s bleeding but still art.
I know, tough noogies. Do it anyway.
