Freelance Bidding Wars

AKA - How cheap will you go?
I, personally, don’t like knowing how cheap other people are willing to work. That’s just… sad. I’d rather live in my fairy tale mind, thinking that everyone is willing to put up a proper price. Yes, I know price will vary, but it at least matches your experience.
Writers, do you know your true value?
You’re being hired to write something that someone else will probably make a lot of money on, depending on what you are writing. Are you going to give it away? If it is more worthwhile to keep the content than it is to give it to someone else, you better think of something else to do. Like starting your own website.
These days, I don’t get paid less than $20 an hour. That number used to be $10 an hour. Eventually, I’ll be looking to make rates rise up further. Is that average? Perhaps. I know writers who, when it came down to it, made $100 of of 15 minutes of work. It varies.
You can’t make that much, however, if you are constantly going for work that takes an hour, and you are only making $5.
Anyway, thought I’d mention.
Oh, and where do you find higher paying markets? I have a big list of work at home job lead websites. So many of them provide you with ample places to submit your resume. Try it!
