I Am Not Super Woman

As much as I wish. Actually I prefered She-Ra when I was little. I wanted the big sword and tell He-Man to hit the road cause there’s a new chick in town.
Anyway, I finally figured out I’m trying to go in too many directions. I’ve done this before. Every once in a while I get sucked into the “I want to get published in big magazines” kick.
The thing is, I don’t read the durn things. They don’t hold interest for me. Neither does writing the big feature for them either.
I don’t mind writing fillers, and more that I learn about that, the more interested I am in writing those.
I mean, that’s cool and all, but I’d rather spend my free time writing fiction or making cool small stuff. It’s more fun, and why not? There’s a market for fun stuff. 
And it feels all crazy trying to change a bit, trying to get comfortable with something that really isn’t ideal for me.
Those who know me probably already saw me do this once or twice. Once in a great while I’ll read how someone else got some big feature in magazines and I think, “I could do that.” And I send out queries. But I don’t have an interest in doing interviews and writing articles like that. I don’t mind research, I love research. I’d spend all day researching material to write a paper than I would doing articles with fresh quotes and all that.
So I’m changing things here bit, cutting out some of the stuff that has nothing to do with fiction or writing fun stuff. Might save myself a lot ot time too I think.
