If You Don’t Have Microsoft Office, Use These

I love Microsoft Office 2007. Vista might have bombed but someone put their thinking cap on for Office. If you haven’t tried it, Microsoft has a sweet deal and will let you try it for six months for free.
However, if you don’t want to fork over the $300 for the software after six months, there are alternatives. Here’s some FREE word processors, and other programs that can help you with your business.
Open Office - Probably one of the most popular word processors, spreadsheets and presentation makers available. It’s a completely free download.
AbiWord - Another download with just the word processor. It is compatible with OpenOffice files, Text pad or Word files.
Google Docs - Never have to worry about saving your documents and backing them up again. Let Google take care of that, and have all your files in once place, not duplicate files. No downloads, save some space on your hard drive.
StarOffice - Yet another freebie. This one is a download. It looks pretty and does work with Microsoft Office files.
Can’t get any sweeter than free word processing or spreadsheets.
