Done! I am so done with nonfiction writing.
I don’t know why, but I’m happy with the idea of not writing nonfiction, except for blogging. I have one article to be completed, which I just finished the rough draft. I’ll edit tomorrow and send to my editor. I’ve not requested any more work and I’m hoping that will be the last of nonfiction.
I had no idea that nonfiction writing could deter me from wanting to actually write fiction! I felt grumpy and irritable when forced to write on topics. Even things that interested me. Unless it is fiction, I wasn’t happy. Maybe I’m not meant to write nonfiction.
I’m sticking to blogging, which I enjoy. And I am also working on the novels still. I appreciate the experience I have. I know I could continue to get nonfiction work, but since it doesn’t make me happy, I don’t think I will.
Not even seeing my name in magazines really lights up the flame in my core. I’ve done it. Meh. I’d rather have fiction published.
So I’ve made a chance. I’m forever appreciative that other writers out there can do this sort of work and enjoy it. I’ve done it, I don’t like it, I’m okay with it.
So here’s do doing (and writing) what you love! Because that is the most important.
