Not So Easy

I don’t feel comfortable writing anymore.
I used to think I was hot cheese and would write epics and everything is perfect. Not really, I didn’t think that but it was fun to think about. I used to feel proud of it all.
Now I’m reluctant to get started, because I know some editor somewhere will hack it to pieces. I’m waiting for the day some editor rails on me and tells me to get another job.
I like writing. I like writing fiction and having fun doing this. But hey, we all have to feel nervous at this some time.
Just like when I was in acting classes and I would get nervous the moment I stepped foot off the stage. So if I had to get back up there, I was shaking all over, even if a moment ago I was smooth.
But that’s the job. Some people get nervous over every piece. Some people don’t care. There’s always other options but you can’t beat the hours, or the group you get to hang out with.
