Productive

Five queries went out this morning. Whew. So I spent the early part of the afternoon playing Runescape. Yeah. Big geek here. 
 I am not always this productive. I’m usually a one a week sort of query sender. I don’t know what the average is. Then there are weeks I’m so focused on fiction I don’t send any nonfiction or short stories out.
What I’ve really been slow at is children’s fiction books. I’ve got three or four manuscripts I think are almost ready and I’ve been neglecting the final polish and sending them out. I think I’m looking at some of these publishers’ website and I think “Wow, look at that wait. It’s like twelve months before you hear back.”
 I know, you can’t be published until you submit.
Ah. *blush blush* Local newspaper emailed and ask if I’d come in and check out some freelance assignments. Yes! Sweet. I really hate interviews, but yeah, I’ll suffer for an afternoon for some good assignments.
