Queries

That’s such an odd word. I think we should rename queries to something else. I think it’s the q sitting there.

Anyway, I wrote five yesterday.  I know, odd.  I thought about sending more out today too if I wasn’t too busy.

The thing is, it only took me like 10 minutes to write the things. When you get that fast about stuff, it sometimes feels like maybe I’m not paying attention and I probably did a bunch of things wrong. I didn’t see anything obviously. I just spouted an idea, posted my clip links and sent them off.

I don’t know how anyone else does it. I don’t have time to post queries, though I have on occasion. It’s rare though, usually for a particular market I really want in on. Or an agent. Mmm… agents. I want one. *hunts*

And… I forget where I was going with this one. ;) Oh. Queries. Okay if I can send five or so in an hour, maybe do that once a day, imagine how many queries you’d have floating around out there? Hundreds! How could anyone keep up? ;)

And for those that might not see this, the writing tip of today was: Recognize an excellent book proposal or query letter will require a lot of hard work.

*grimaces* Could it be just 10 minutes of hard work? ;)
