Slow Fiction
April 15th, 2007 by Me
I thought it was funny when I heard about Flash fiction. Because it’s so ‘fast’. It’s a short story, or rather, a really short story. The shorter the better. It’s good, because then you get these small stories that you can read and get the whole thing in a few minutes. Or is it a bad thing? Does that mean I write slow fiction since my books are usually lots of pages? Now, having mild ADD I can appreciate short stuff, but even with my roaming attention span, even I can appreciate long stuff. With so much to do, I think today we have less time to spend on any one thing, and we end up sacrificing a few things. This includes being able to read a really good book. I suffer too. But you’re talking to the person that reads like three fiction books at the same time. Usually this is one adult book, one young adult fantasy and usually I have something I listen to on the computer from Audible for when work is slow. Anyway, I’m on to editing a novel. I’ve been writing for so long, I figure it is time to actually edit one of these babies and get it to an agent.

Wow. No paragraphs. This blogging thing is acting wacky. I’m too lazy to edit.
